I. Give. Up. Three little words that when strung together seem to have so much power. Power to bring you down. Power to make you feel like a failure.
These three words are ones I use all too often. Whenever I am flooded with self-doubt or anxiety. When I can’t face a challenge, or can’t even face getting out of bed.
The important thing is to not give up. Get up instead. Get out of bed. When life knocks you down, get up. Keep fighting. Don’t let those three little words have the power. Find the power of positivity instead.
Every day that you get out of bed is a success. As someone once said, “Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day”. So today I have a challenge for you. Each day for the next week, before you go to bed, take the time to write down something good that happened in your day. Write down something good that you did. Something that made you smile. Something you achieved. It doesn’t have to be something big. Just something. And here’s a hint: don’t sit around waiting for something good to happen. Go out and make it happen. Seek out the good. It’s out there, go find it!
I made this little watercolour print to remind myself to get up and keep fighting. To find the good in every day and be proud of myself for not giving up. You can find it as a free download here.
