When it comes to giving gifts to my boyfriend I always have a mental blank. He’s perfectly happy with a beer in his hand playing his computer games (both of which he always has on hand). This year, add in a lack of money on my part and gift giving becomes even harder. When I asked him what he would like for his birthday, he said he didn’t want me to buy him a gift, BUT he wouldn’t mind a back rub. Well, wouldn’t we all!
In the end, I decided to make him a little book of ‘love coupons’ that he can cash in at any time full of simple, but thoughtful things I can do for him. I made sure the first coupon was for one back rub, wouldn’t want him missing out on what he really wants now would we? Other things I included were breakfast in bed, a free day without any chores or nagging (I know he’ll love that!) and what I think will be his favourite…. A get out of the doghouse free card! I may regret that one the next time he does something to annoy me.
These coupons are a great gift for any occasion, and with Valentine’s day just around the corner, I thought it was a great time to share them with you. I made two sets, a blue one for the men and a bit more of a girly set for the women.
Simply download the coupons here, print and cut them out. The coupons are together on one A4 page and each is approximately 4.5 cm x 7 cm. I recommend using a thicker cardstock, so the coupons are a little sturdier. You can punch a hole and tie them all together to create a little book or simply tie them together in a little bundle like I did. They work as a thoughtful gift on their own or you can pair them with something else, like your partner’s favourite chocolates. I’m sure your significant other will appreciate your thoughtfulness and who wouldn’t love a back rub and a foot massage?
**Our printer is broken and will only print one shade of blue and literally NOTHING ELSE! So, the picture below does not properly represent the actual coupons.
